Job Summary

The Brodhead Creek Regional Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wastewater treatment plant, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater treatment plant equipment and machinery
  • Monitor and troubleshoot plant processes to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist in the performance of major repair work and heavy labor tasks
  • Operate and maintain SCADA control systems and other computerized equipment
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant maintenance or a related field
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
