Delivering Empathetic Patient Care in an Outpatient Setting

In this role as a Registered Nurse at DaVita, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient dialysis setting. With a focus on end-stage renal failure and chronic kidney disease, our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate care that meets the unique needs of each patient.

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic nurse who can build meaningful relationships with patients and their families. As part of our supportive team, you will work collaboratively to deliver care that requires a broad range of nursing skills. About the Role
  • No prior dialysis experience is required.
  • You will undergo comprehensive training, which may take place in a facility or training clinic other than your assigned home clinic.
  • During and after training, you will float to various clinics to gain experience and develop your skills.
  • This role requires flexibility and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You Can Expect
  • You will work closely with patients who often have multiple co-morbidities, requiring tailored treatment plans and the application of a wide range of nursing skills.
  • You will oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs, conducting patient observations, measuring vital signs, and setting up dialysis machines.
  • This role offers a fast-paced environment where you will use your head, heart, and hands to make a positive impact on patients' lives.

Requirements
  • A degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted.
  • Previous experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg may be beneficial but is not required.
  • Certification in Nephrology or Dialysis is not necessary but is a plus.
