Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Capital Engineering department, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and reporting on the Solventum corporate Engineering Capital Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating, managing, and reporting on the Solventum corporate Engineering Capital Plan.
  • Serve as a key liaison to the business and responsible for the relationship between Engineering and the Business Client to guide them through capital project estimating, funding requests, and project reporting across the capital investment plan.
  • Develop and implement Capital Project estimating standards and tools for the teams to ensure consistent format and content across all investments.
  • Administer the capital project budget planning efforts and timing in conjunction with Finance.
  • Coordinate with business and engineering leaders to develop and finalize the project list and priorities to be rolled up to the overall corporate investment plan.
  • Manage the capital project approval process, ensuring all requests have been vetted and approved per the company governance requirements.
  • Organize and lead the Capital Review Board and Functional Review Teams for the approval process in accordance with the grants of authority.
  • Ensure compliance to capital project governance and property and accounting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 8 years of project estimating and controls experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED AND 12 years of project estimating and controls experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role include:
    • Master's Degree and 6 years of direct function-related experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
    • Demonstratable Business and Financial Acumen/Knowledge in the area of capital project estimating and cost controls.
    • Proven ability to successfully influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to drive decisions across all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to operate at Strategic and Operational levels.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Ability to drive for results while navigating ambiguity.
