**Job Title:** Multilingual Housing Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to fill the role of Multilingual Housing Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in providing housing assistance and support services to individuals and families.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' housing needs and barriers, as well as research eligibility for various housing programs.
  2. BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL LANDLORDS TO OPTIMIZE HOUSING OPTIONS AND QUANTITY.
  3. Collaborate with case managers and system navigators to provide suitable housing alternatives and necessary support.
  4. ENSURE TIMELY COMPLETION OF MONTHLY REHOUSING PLANS TO MEET CLIENT NEEDS.
  5. SUPPORT CLIENTS THROUGH THE ENTIRE REHOUSING PROCESS BY ASSISTING WITH APPLICATIONS, SCHEDULING SHOWINGS, AND PROVIDING REGULAR UPDATES ON THE TENANT SELECTION PROCESS.
  6. ASSIST CLIENTS IN APPLYING FOR REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS AND OFFER GUIDANCE ON BUDGETING, PROBLEM-SOLVING, AND OPTION PLANNING.
  7. IDENTIFY AND RESOLVE EVICTION ACTIONS, UTILITY ARREARS, OR OTHER FACTORS THAT THREATEN HOUSING STABILITY.
  8. Educate clients about tenant and landlord rights, rental assistance programs, homebuyer readiness information, and available community resources.
  9. STAY AHEAD OF NEW AND MODIFIED HOUSING PROGRAMS, SERVICES, AND REGULATIONS TO PROVIDE ACCURATE CLIENT GUIDANCE.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed case notes to facilitate effective communication across departments.
  11. Conduct regular property walkthroughs to identify potential safety concerns and submit work orders as needed.

Requirements:

  • MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN HOUSING, SOCIAL SERVICES, OR A RELATED FIELD, OR A COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE IN CONDUCTING HOUSING SEARCHES.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • EXCELLENT VERBAL, WRITTEN, AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS, WITH ABILITY TO WORK WITH DIVERSE POPULATIONS AND STAKEHOLDERS.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS WITH HIGH ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL, ALONG WITH EFFECTIVE TASK PRIORITIZATION.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
