Clinical Nurse Specialist

In this role, you will provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering a culture of patient-centered care. You will demonstrate clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assessment: Collect data and complete nursing assessments using appropriate area-specific standards and policies. Assess and recognize subtle or actual changes in patients' conditions and respond accordingly.
- Planning & Outcomes: Develop individualized plans of care that reflect current evidence-based practice, assessed patient needs, and address continuity of care. Make referrals as necessary and collaborate with the healthcare team to derive measurable outcomes.
- Implementation: Provide direct care to assigned patients in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, consistent with established plans of care. Perform specific tasks based on organizational and departmental policies within your scope of practice.
- Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care, document progress toward expected outcomes, and revise the plan as needed. Report changes in patient condition and refer unresolved problems to the healthcare team.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Experience: One year of experience in nursing as a Registered Nurse (or completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program)
- Licensure: SC Licensed RN - Registered Nurse
The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 per annum, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. This position is eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates only.
