Job Summary

The Residential Clinician plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive clinical services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a client caseload, conducting clinical assessments and providing individual and group therapy.
  • Ensure quality care and that clients meet the minimum required weekly clinical treatment hours.
  • Apply motivational enhancement and engagement strategies tailored to each client's readiness and willingness to change.
  • Obtain initial insurance authorizations and handle all necessary concurrent authorizations and renewals throughout the treatment period.
  • Complete all clinical documentation, including residential assessments, progress notes, group notes, treatment plans and reviews, discharges, and DDaPs, in accordance with policy.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan and direct client care, assessing needs and performance within the program.
  • Communicate with referral sources regarding client progress and performance, including preparing reports and CDCS data entry as needed.
  • Participate in all required internal and external meetings and supervisions.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree with Licensure in Behavioral Health (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in CT. Additional LADC a plus.
  • Associate Licensure in Behavioral Health (LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT-A) eligible.
  • Preferred 3 years of working experience in behavioral health field; experience in a residential setting preferred.
  • Experience in trauma informed care preferred.
  • Experience with substance abuse clients, co-occurring diagnosed clients preferred.
