Residential Waste Collector

The Residential Driver is a key member of our team at Lakeshore Recycling Systems LLC, responsible for providing exceptional waste and recycling services to our customers. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Operate a truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Collect and haul waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain accurate records and logs, including route sheets and driver logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition and reporting any issues to the Operations Supervisor.

• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL and a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing and provide proof of a clean driving record.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

The Residential Driver will be exposed to extreme weather conditions, residential and commercial waste, and possible high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle. The employee will be required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear regularly. Occasionally, the employee will be required to stand and walk.
