We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Albany Medical Center. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will play a vital role in helping our patients adjust to chronic illness or injury, creating personalized care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required by company policy and local/state/federal regulations.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered, applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, directing and guiding ancillary personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
