Position Title: Team Member
Department: Operations
Reports To: Team Leader / Group Leader

Position Summary:
- This job description pertains to Team Members at BLG. The operations encompass various areas, each with essential duties and responsibilities. While Team Members may not perform all duties from day one, BLG Logistics, Inc. aims to cross-train them across multiple operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Follow work instructions diligently.
- Engage in loading and unloading trucks, order picking, repacking, packing, sequencing, and labeling for shipping and receiving.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on shipping totes, racks, and other equipment.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with operators from other shifts.
- Ensure cleanliness of the operating facility to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Secure and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Transport waste from work areas to designated disposal locations.
- Operate vehicles (e.g., truck, van, forklift) to transport orders and materials as needed.
- Ensure quality control by preventing damaged products from being shipped and not accepting damaged materials.
- Package finished products for shipping, including shrink wrapping and labeling.
- Stage finished products for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Load and unload delivery trucks to receive stock and fulfill orders.
- Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify discrepancies.
- Report to Team Leader or management regarding delivery statuses.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to shipping and equipment transfers.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient work environment.
- Be prepared for mandatory overtime as required.
Supervisory Role:
- This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Skills necessary to perform multiple non-technical tasks, with potential for skill enhancement to meet evolving job conditions. Required skills include adherence to safety practices, operation of warehouse equipment, and maintaining accurate records. Knowledge of basic math, written procedures, and the ability to follow complex instructions is essential.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. The Team Member must be capable of addressing problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- A forklift operating license is preferred, but on-the-job training is available.
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
