Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Frazier Farms Market. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to company recipes and guidelines.

• Cutting, preparing, and cooking food in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area, including walk-in and freezer spaces.
• Learng, following, and enforcing company policies, kitchen procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assisting with receiving and unloading merchandise.
• Taking stock to storage or shelf areas.
• Opening cartons and pricing, displaying, storing, or breaking down items according to established procedures and policies.
• Notifying managers of low inventory conditions or spoilage problems.
• Handling damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assisting in controlling the level of damaged goods.
• Assisting in food preparation.
• Complying fully with all safety policies and procedures.
• Greeting customers and providing prompt and courteous service or assistance.

• 2+ years of culinary experience.
• 2+ years' experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant.
• Strong communication skills.
• A valid San Diego food handlers' card or company food handlers' card within 30 days.
• The ability to multitask and manage time wisely.

• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
• In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to work in a hot, wet, and cold environment.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000, depending on experience.
