Role Purpose: As a member of the Hotel Housekeeping team, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of hotel rooms and facilities. You will report directly to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor or the Housekeeping Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Restock housekeeping supplies upon delivery.
  2. Utilize cleaning agents to sanitize rooms and workspaces; this may involve moving or lifting items as necessary.
  3. Operate cleaning machinery to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and other areas including fixtures and fittings. This includes vacuuming carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  4. Dispose of waste and clean ashtrays; transport refuse to designated disposal areas.
  5. Clean windows, sills, door panels, walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  6. Handle biohazard materials as required.
  7. Respond to or redirect guest inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.
  8. Address and rectify any cleanliness issues immediately.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Environmental Services or Housekeeping within the hospitality sector is preferred.
  • Understanding of the chemical properties and safety protocols associated with cleaning substances.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and tools, including their operation and maintenance.
  • General knowledge of cleaning standards in the hospitality industry.
  • Awareness of public health regulations.
