We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Athletic Trainer Director to oversee our Air Force Training Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our Sports Medicine Hub and Staff ATs, while working closely with our Sports Medicine Officer and Senior Athletic Trainers.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Athletic Training Program for new Air Force members, ensuring that standard operating procedures and referral guidelines are followed.
- Assist in developing, presenting, and implementing Clinical Performance Improvement (CPI) initiatives to improve patient care and support the training mission.
- Collaborate with Sports Medicine providers and other medical experts to execute research initiatives, including prospective and retrospective studies, and pursue peer-reviewed publication in a professional journal.
- Ensure that referrals are accurately and efficiently filtered from Athletic Training Facilities (ATFs), and that patient safety, access to care, quality of care, and trusted care are prioritized.
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field, with at least 10 years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and/or preventing musculoskeletal injuries as a certified athletic trainer.
- At least 3 years of experience overseeing a sports medicine or athletic training program.
- Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC), with current and active certification.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Texas AT license.
