Job Summary:

AAS Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of oral health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality dental services that meet or exceed patient expectations, including routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants and fluorides, and related procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized dental care plans in collaboration with the dentist, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Provide patient education on procedures and ongoing dental care, ensuring patients understand their treatment options and are empowered to maintain good oral health.
  • Document and report patient information, including dental history, chief complaint, and patient reactions, as appropriate.
  • Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge, as well as preparation of patient care areas.
  • Prepare reports and assist with patient reception, telephone calls, routine triage, and other office duties.
  • Set up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation, ensuring all necessary tools are available and in good working order.
  • Maintain an active recall system, scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program with an Associate's Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene.
  • Current Arizona license as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the necessary skills required may be considered.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Local Anesthetic Certificate.
  • Participates in continuing medical/dental education programs to maintain professional competence and skills.
  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene preferred.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
