Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Ultrasound Imaging Engineer to contribute to our operations. This role involves the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of ultrasound imaging devices across various regions. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the ultrasound systems function optimally, thereby supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound imaging systems.
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of imaging equipment, including systems from leading manufacturers.
- Utilize remote diagnostics and testing protocols to address equipment issues efficiently.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards.
- Employ power tools and measurement devices, along with service documentation, to execute maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with medical staff to understand their imaging requirements and provide specialized technical support.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field and apply best practices in ultrasound equipment management.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Consult with medical personnel to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment, applying knowledge of electronics and medical terminology.
- Demonstrate equipment operation to medical staff and provide training on proper usage and care.
- Ensure preventive maintenance adheres to current OEM specifications for safety and performance.
- Perform additional modality-specific tasks as required.
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7 years in ultrasound equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong technical expertise in ultrasound imaging systems.
- Proficient in remote diagnostics and testing protocols.
- Experience with OEM systems from major manufacturers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Flexible schedule, including potential evenings and weekends.
- Manage a broad geographical area requiring travel.
- Utilize creativity and technical skills to resolve client issues.
