About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Weirton. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our pharmacy, working under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Pick up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
- Deliver the appropriate quantities of medication to the correct patient area(s).
- Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
- Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out necessary paperwork.
- Monitor doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.
- Maintain all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current West Virginia Pharmacy Tech Certification required.
