Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer I to join our team at Sherwood Design Engineers. As a key member of our water/wastewater design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for water/wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various wastewater treatment methods and recommend the most effective approach
  • Design layout and specifications for pumping and lifting systems
  • Review and critique water and wastewater treatment system proposals, plans, and designs
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects
  • Ensure building, water, and equipment specifications comply with local, state, and federal guidelines and codes

Requirements:

  • Typically industry internship experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Civil and/or Environmental
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and civil design programs
  • Knowledge of GIS principles and Adobe Creative Suite
