We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux environment and Microsoft Windows systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IT systems administration in a complex, fast-paced environment, utilizing troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity.
- Work closely with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and ensure the integrity of our systems.
- Install and configure software applications, as well as provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring the highest level of service delivery.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
- Typically, a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have Linux or Windows experience, as well as experience with Active Directory, VMware, administration, backup and recovery.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) are preferred.
- A competitive salary range of $64,000 - $128,000.
