About the Role

The Intervention Specialist plays a vital role in our Behavioral Health team at UofL Health, working closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective intervention programs for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with multidisciplinary teams to provide information and input on assessment and intervention plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of daily activity schedules, ensuring a structured and engaging environment for patients.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to various disciplines on intervention plans, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
  • Monitoring and Feedback: Monitor the implementation of intervention plans and provide constructive feedback to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Behavioral Health Support: Provide direct behavioral therapy and active treatment programming to patients, including proactive strategies and crisis intervention.
  • Milieu Management: Assist in maintaining a structured and organized environment, ensuring a safe and therapeutic space for patients.
  • Data Collection and Entry: Collect, record, and enter data on observable patient behavior, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
  • Special Projects and Committees: Participate in special projects and hospital committees as needed, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a Human Service field preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in human services required for applicants without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
