Investment Associate Opportunity at Howard Hughes Medical Institute

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Associate to join its Investment team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting investment decision-making and contributing to the success of the Institute's endowment.

About the Role

The Investment Associate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the identification, evaluation, and diligence of investment opportunities across various asset classes
  • Monitoring and re-underwriting existing investments to ensure alignment with the Institute's investment objectives
  • Reviewing direct co-investment opportunities and special projects to identify potential returns
  • Providing research and analysis to support investment committee discussions
  • Collaborating with the Investment team to develop and implement investment strategies

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or business
  • 2-5 years of experience in endowment management, investment banking, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of investment theory and financial markets
