Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) Extern plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care by performing delegated basic tasks and services related to common CVT functions. Under the supervision of the CVT, the CVT Extern assists the Cardiovascular Cath Lab staff in providing patient care in accordance with the CVT Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe care environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the CVT in performing delegated basic tasks and services related to common CVT functions.
  • Provide patient care in accordance with the CVT Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe care environment.
  • Assist the Cardiovascular Cath Lab staff in providing patient care.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) program.
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service or acute care setting preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
