Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product teams in an Agile environment to devise application solutions that align with business goals.
  • Estimate effort levels for projects and change requests in accordance with the functional specification standards established by the application development team.
  • Create and execute unit and functional test plans, assisting in the utilization of functional test plans and the validation of test outcomes.
  • Ensure application or product availability for end users in line with established Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide support for service restoration, which includes investigating outage causes, assessing business impacts, and responding swiftly to resolve issues.
  • Monitor applications in the production environment through both manual and automated methods.
  • Facilitate the deployment of application code enhancements to the production environment.
  • Communicate the status of application production changes and outages effectively.
  • Maintain operational documentation for core business systems as assigned.
  • Assist users in diagnosing production system operations, data issues, and business process support.
  • Continuously recommend operational improvements for production applications.
  • Be available for on-call support outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as required.

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Java Development; knowledge of .NET is advantageous.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux scripting tools.
  • Ability to write complex queries using MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or NoSQL.
  • Demonstrated software development experience in a professional setting.
  • Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.
  • Solid experience with Java/J2EE, XML, XPath, Web Services, and REST services.
  • Familiarity with development IDEs such as JBoss Studio, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Sublime, and Bracket.

Education and Experience Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of software development experience, preferably utilizing JAVA languages, or equivalent experience. Experience with Supply Chain ERP systems is a plus.
