Job Summary

St. John Fisher University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus community, including students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine security patrols to deter and detect potential security threats
• Investigate reported incidents and prepare detailed reports
• Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
• Assist with building evacuations and provide medical aid when necessary
• Enforce college regulations and maintain order on campus

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience
• Prior law enforcement experience preferred
• Valid NYS Security Guard License required
• Valid driver's license with no significant convictions

Work Environment

As a Security Officer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent indoor and outdoor routines in various weather conditions. You will be required to patrol campus properties, respond to emergencies, and interact with students, faculty, and staff.
