Manufacturing Process Engineer

At Barnes Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams focused on new product introduction, continuous improvement, and nonconformance resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services meet all contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.
* Create engineering documentation, including models, drawings, routings, testing specifications, reports, and work instructions.
* Troubleshoot machines and processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
* Collaborate with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
* Experience with CAD software, such as Solid Works, NX, or AutoCAD.
* Project management experience with a proven track record of scheduling and organizing people effectively to complete assigned functions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Machining, press/forming, welding, brazing, heat-treat, and inspection experience.
* Die, tool, fixture, and gage design experience.
* Experience optimizing high mix/low volume production.
* Proven success with team leadership and continuous improvement.
* Lean and six sigma experience.
* Sheet metal experience.
Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
