Job Title: Cardiovascular Catheterization Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Catheterization Specialist to join our team at Cynet Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with procedures including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Atherectomy, TEC, Rotablator, Valvuloplasty, Intravascular Ultrasound, Pulmonary Angiograms, and insertion of intraaortic balloon pumps and stents.

• Prepare sterile trays and organize specific equipment for each procedure.

• Prepare patients, attach EKG leads, perform betadine scrub, and drape patients according to protocol.

• Assist cardiac catheterization nurses with patient monitoring preparation.

• Calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings.

• Assist physicians throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.

• Load and operate the power injector.

• Maintain standards for digital cine technologies, including storage and retrieval of patient images and hemodynamic records.

• Ensure proper downloading of all CD acquisitions for review.

• Assist with emergency measures to restore or maintain patient wellbeing.

• Assist in the removal of procedural sheaths and insertion of vascular closure devices.

• Manage inventory control by notifying appropriate individuals of supply needs.

• Perform maintenance, calibration, and evaluation of diagnostic and technical equipment.

• Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.

• Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers in a manner appropriate to their developmental and educational level.

• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital, or 6-12 months during a CVT accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory.

• RCIS, RCES, or RT certification required.

• Knowledge of electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, implant devices.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 4 hours a day.

• English language proficiency: read, write, speak.
