1 - OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for implementing innovative methodologies and strategies for continuous enhancement. This role involves leading and managing Lean initiatives aimed at boosting safety, quality, productivity, inventory levels, and the efficiency of both administrative and physical workflows.
2 - WORKPLACE RELATIONSHIPS
Daily Interactions:
- Site leadership team.
- Production Managers / Local Supervisors

Internal Collaborations:
- All site departments
- Pandrol entities.
External Collaborations:
- Third-party service providers / Vendors
3 – DUTIES AND AUTHORITY
- Translate the site's continuous improvement vision into actionable plans, implement and monitor them.
- Organize and execute the identified enhancement initiatives.
- Design, document, and modify relevant procedures and tools.
- Facilitate site transformation alongside operational and functional leaders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Pandrol Group Operational Excellence Framework.
4 – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the establishment of performance metrics and ensure their regular updates.
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement corresponding action plans related to production capabilities.
- Utilize and apply continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, etc.).
- Plan and execute project-related actions.
- Lead cross-departmental teams to promote the continuous improvement philosophy across all groups.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions.
- Educate and support technical and production teams in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Engage with stakeholders, including project and production managers.
5 – ESSENTIAL SKILLS
+ Knowledge:
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, 5S, QRQC, VSM, etc.
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools
- Skilled in project management practices
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Proficient in office software (office suite, ERP, etc.)
