Position Overview:


Join our dedicated team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region as a Medical Imaging Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care within our medical imaging department.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Medical Imaging Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Providing high-quality patient care to all individuals undergoing imaging procedures.
  • Conducting precise imaging exams while being attentive to the needs of patients, adhering to safe radiation practices.
  • Exhibiting leadership qualities and serving as a mentor to fellow technologists.
  • Acting as a clinical resource for students, staff technologists, and other healthcare personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance with current standards of practice within the unit.


Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging, including Surgery and Trauma.
  • A minimum of one year of post-certification experience to evaluate and instruct student radiographers.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T. (R) (ARRT)).
  • Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Physical capability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.
