CNA Day Shift Job Description

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents at Magnolia Manor Senior Living. As a CNA, you will be responsible for delivering physical and emotional care to our residents in a clean, friendly, and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily direct care to residents, including assistance with medication, bathing, dressing, and grooming, food consumption, transferring, and ambulating.
  • Determine measurements accurately as assigned, including vital signs, intake, and output.
  • Adhere to Magnolia Manor's established Infection Control Procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation of resident care and condition, responding to call lights or emergency alarms as needed.
  • Communicate notable changes to nurse management.
  • Attend and participate in classes to maintain current certification as a C.N.A. (12 hours per year).
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and in-services.
  • Participate in annual and OSHA and CDC training programs, as well as annual disaster training.
  • Assist with the orientation of new employees as instructed by your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Preferred High School Diploma or its equivalent or enrolled in ongoing education.
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia.

Work Environment:

This position is considered highly physical, with frequent walking, bending, stooping, and lifting approximately 50 pounds.
