Santa Clara, California, United States Celestial AI Full time
About Celestial AI

Celestial AI is at the forefront of innovation in Generative AI and data center infrastructure. As we navigate the era of Accelerated Computing, we're no longer limited by compute performance alone. Our Photonic Fabric technology offers a 10X increase in performance and energy efficiency, revolutionizing the way we approach interconnect bandwidth, memory bandwidth, and memory capacity.

Our Photonic Fabric is available in multiple technology offerings, including optical chiplets, optical interposers, and Optical Multi-chip Interconnect Bridges (OMIB). This enables seamless integration of high-bandwidth, low-power, low-latency optical interfaces into AI accelerators and GPUs, making it easier for hyperscalers to optimize AI processing and reduce TCO2 impact.

Job Description

In this role, you will drive the development of innovative, high-speed analog architectures for low-power, high-performance AMS solutions tailored for AI applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct top-down architectural analysis of AMS systems.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of digital and photonics subsystems and their requirements on the AMS subsystem.
  3. Utilize knowledge of high-performance analog design concepts to compare various topologies that best fit the AMS architecture for AI application requirements.
  4. Enhance system performance using digitally assisted analog techniques and appropriate partitioning of analog and digital circuits.
  5. Drive transistor-level feasibility studies for various AMS circuits.
  6. Define design specifications and verification plans.
  7. Define production and bench-level test plans.
Qualifications:

Requires a Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience in related areas of expertise or a PhD with 3+ years of experience.

Experience with architecture, design, and production expertise in high-speed data converter architectures and circuits, ultra-low-power analog circuits, digitally assisted analog circuits, and AMS design flows and chip assembly techniques.

Highly skilled in MATLAB/Simulink/Verilog A modeling, data converter architectures and design trade-offs, low-power and high-precision analog techniques, and architecting circuit solutions that achieve challenging noise, linearity, power consumption, and silicon area requirements.

Excellent communication skills to work with multiple domain experts, such as digital/VLSI, AI/ML, Photonics, and packaging.

Location:

This role can be based out of Santa Clara, CA, Orange County, CA, or Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Compensation:

We offer an attractive total compensation package, inclusive of a competitive base salary and a generous grant of our valuable early-stage equity.

The target base salary for this role is approximately $175,000 to $225,000, with the base salary offered may be slightly higher or lower based on the final scope as determined by the depth of the experience and skills demonstrated by the candidate in the interviews.
