Animal Care Specialist

Are you passionate about helping animals find their forever homes? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a knack for working with people and animals alike? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Adoption Services Specialist at Animal Humane Society.
About the Role:- Provide exceptional customer service to adopters, visitors, donors, and volunteers in the adoption area.
- Process pet adoptions, ensuring all transaction paperwork and computer records are accurate.
- Assist in the opening and closing of the adoption center and maintain the appearance of merchandise and adoption area throughout the day.
- Communicate effectively with team members, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient adoption process.
- Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours with the expectation to work varied hours including evening and weekend shifts.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Proficient with computers, specifically, a working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations and the willingness to assist at all sites.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work as a member of the team and partner collaboratively with all departments.
- A competitive hourly rate of $16.
