Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Standards: Develop and implement comprehensive safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate Risk Management: Coordinate the efforts of our legal defense attorneys and insurance claims representatives to mitigate risks and minimize liability.
  • Design and Implement Safety Training Programs: Develop and implement safety training programs for employees to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Conduct Regular Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of all areas of the park to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and Maintain Safety Policies: Develop, maintain, and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Investigate and Respond to Safety Incidents: Investigate and respond to all safety incidents, including accidents and near-misses, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide Safety Guidance: Provide safety guidance and recommendations to management and employees to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as safety, security, or risk management.
  • Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience in a safety or security role, preferably in the amusement park industry.
  • Certifications: Amusement Park Safety Inspector certification preferred.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA codes, and Amusement Park ASTM standards. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check.
