Role Overview:

As a Housekeeper II, you will assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in guiding the housekeeping team to uphold the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility through diligent cleaning practices, adhering to OSHA regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead housekeeping personnel by designating work areas and monitoring their performance.
  2. Perform personal housekeeping duties and support the overall cleaning assignments as needed.
  3. Ensure the office, warehouse, and communal areas are maintained in a clean and appealing condition, including tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, and restroom maintenance.
  4. Oversee the upkeep of cleaning equipment, ensuring it is cleaned, stored properly, and in good working order.
  5. Conduct informal inspections to maintain staff quality control and assess the completion of cleaning tasks.
  6. Keep supply closets organized and stocked, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
  7. Communicate any personnel issues related to training and job performance to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  8. Maintain compliance with OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe work environment through proper cleaning procedures and chemical handling.
  9. Provide courteous service while safeguarding confidential customer information.
  10. Maintain open communication with the Housekeeping Supervisor and maintenance staff regarding facility and equipment issues.
  11. Report any injuries or property damage immediately.
  12. Act as a first responder during emergencies and assist other departments as necessary.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  14. Maintain consistent attendance and be available for in-person meetings as required.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred one year of experience in housekeeping.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain OTC housekeeping certification.
  • Valid driver's license in accordance with company standards.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, pushing, squatting, bending, and climbing stairs throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for handling supplies and waste.
