Exposure to strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products, etc.). Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.

Position Overview:

The Operations Team Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager and Production Supervisor to achieve daily production objectives, emphasizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

This position is essential in ensuring that operations are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to established procedures to meet production goals.

This role supports a continuous operation, which may include night shifts and weekends.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily activities of the production team, ensuring effective workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate facility equipment including pumps, compressors, and safety apparatus.
  • Conduct sampling and testing of products in accordance with established procedures.
  • Oversee daily filling operations and provide guidance to operators to maintain high safety standards.
  • Assist the maintenance department with relevant activities and work permits as necessary.
  • Document data related to production processes and raw materials.
  • Lead daily meetings with production staff to discuss objectives and performance.
  • Participate in incident investigations and risk assessments to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Lab and Quality Assurance departments to resolve any issues that arise during testing.

Additional Duties:
  • Distribute work orders to meet production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve missing or unprinted jobs in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Complete work orders and perform label reconciliation in compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Record daily production metrics and conduct quality inspections as needed.
  • Support the company's initiatives in Practical Process Improvement, LEAN methodologies, and standard work practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of and experience with distillation processes or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with database management.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, shipping, and receiving documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address issues effectively.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

A High School Diploma is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred. Previous administrative experience of 1-2 years is necessary. Exposure to a production or chemical environment is advantageous.
