Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Installer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting various security systems, including intrusion alarm systems, access control, CCTV, intercom, network infrastructure, PA systems, fire alarm, and other PC-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and verify security-related equipment for large installations, including testing and commissioning
  • Complete "As Built" drawings upon project completion
  • Consult with clients to assess risk and determine security requirements
  • Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming, and testing
  • Preference given to those with IT standards and network topology experience
  • Experience supporting implementation of analog, hybrid, and IP CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, wireless, intrusion systems, and fire alarm systems
  • Working knowledge of local and national codes for inspection and test purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to program basic operations on micro-processor-based systems without supervision
  • Proficient in computer operation and knowledgeable on MS operating systems (including Windows 2000 Server)
  • Ability to configure PC hardware and application programs
  • Computer network experience and qualifications a strong asset
  • Experience in design or design assist in low-voltage applications desirable
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of electronic test equipment
