Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

At Ryder System, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure quality of repair work and customer satisfaction
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
  • Coordinate work schedule as required by customers
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • NonCommercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
