Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 4th Year Line Worker-CDL to join our team at Arkansas Electric. As a key member of our Construction Department, you will be responsible for installing poles, conductors, transformers, meters, and hardware on energized and de-energized lines, adhering to specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installs poles, conductors, transformers, meters, and hardware on energized and de-energized lines, following specifications and customer requirements.
  • Reviews plans and specifications, understands safety rules and company policies, and promotes good relations with crew members, patron cooperatives, and the general public.
  • Operates bucket trucks, digger-derricks, and other equipment on job sites as required.
  • Informs supervisors of equipment and materials needed to complete jobs and assists foremen in carrying out work plans.
  • Trains other crew members in constructing electrical systems as directed by crew foremen.
  • Performs basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles used for assigned duties.
  • Maintains job sites in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Performs other related duties as required for the effective and efficient operation of the Construction Department.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel to various locations throughout the state of Arkansas and stay overnight as required to complete work assignments.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at excessive heights.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and work outside regular scheduled hours when necessary.
