Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth functioning of automation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, commissioning, and providing technical support for control systems in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute commissioning activities for automation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and HMIs for new or modified equipment.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful integration and startup of automation solutions.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, instrumentation, and communication networks on-site. You will work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement solutions for system improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical engineering, control systems, or a related field. Additionally, you should have proven experience in field service engineering, preferably in the oil and gas sector.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in field service engineering, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Programming experience in Allen Bradley PLCs is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Process Control, DCS, and Safety systems, including Fire and Gas, Emergency Shutdown, SIS, and Process Control Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation products and solutions.
