Job Summary:

The City of Norwalk, CT is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Library Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our library staff, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting patrons with general library use, and performing various circulation duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patrons with general library use, including answering research questions and providing information on library resources and services.
• Perform circulation duties, including checking out and returning library materials, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain a clean and organized library environment, including shelving books and other materials, and performing other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
