Role Summary:
The Clinical Registered Dietitian is responsible for developing dietary plans for patients enrolled in the Bariatric Program and delivering nutritional education initiatives throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all facets of nutritional care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team as part of the bariatric surgery group. Utilize expertise in the nutrition care process, which includes assessing nutritional needs, identifying dietary issues, implementing effective nutrition strategies, and setting patient goals to evaluate program success both before and after surgery. Apply best practices to establish post-operative dietary guidelines and nutritional supplement requirements. Analyze clinical and biochemical data to create nutrition care plans that consider socio-economic and psychosocial factors.
* Design and implement both group and personalized nutrition education programs, ensuring materials are comprehensive and accessible. Contribute to the development and execution of clinical pathways related to patient management. Ensure adherence to nutrition standards of practice within the bariatric program and manage post-treatment care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team to provide nutrition expertise, enhance patient experiences, and ensure seamless continuity of care in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Promote and maintain educational initiatives pertaining to the bariatric program and nutrition.

Qualifications:
Required:
* Valid licensure as a Registered Dietitian issued by the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition (NCBDN).
* Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Preferred:
* Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Dietetics role.
