Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to enhance our exceptional teams responsible for creating outstanding products and driving our growth. This role will be based in Milpitas, CA.

Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager, the Industrial Engineer will focus on boosting productivity through effective management of personnel, organizational methods, and technology to efficiently address organizational and production challenges.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide process time estimations to the quoting team.
  • Simulate processes, materials, and manufacturing workflows, offering insights to process engineers using tools such as REFA, MOST, and WITNESS.
  • Coordinate process planning and setup during New Product Introduction (NPI) with attention to takt time, cycle time, and direct labor requirements.
  • Review outcomes during prototyping and trial runs, providing feedback to NPI and sales teams.
  • Conduct work measurement programs and analyze work samples to establish labor utilization standards.
  • Evaluate staff utilization, facility layouts, and operational data to optimize worker and equipment efficiency.
  • Recommend strategies for enhancing worker productivity and minimizing material and utility waste.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering teams to implement strategic plans and recommendations.
  • Develop management systems for cost assessments, financial planning, and job evaluations.
  • Create management control systems to support financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning systems to ensure product quality.
  • Design or enhance systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, identifying optimal plant locations.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at increasing throughput, reducing costs, and enhancing performance in areas such as Lean, Automation, and Six Sigma projects.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 4-6 years of engineering experience in the electronic or contract manufacturing sector, with a focus on Industrial Engineering.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in conducting capacity analyses and time study activities, including familiarity with REFA, MOST, and WITNESS.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, SketchUp, and Inventor.
  • Experience in presenting to and engaging with both external clients and internal senior management.
  • Familiarity with simulation software (FlexSim or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis using Minitab is advantageous.

Compensation:
