About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Engineer to join our Dispute Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building seamless and intuitive experiences for our members. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to create innovative solutions, exercising technical leadership for high-impact projects. Your expertise in front-end development, including React, React Native, and Typescript, will be invaluable in shaping the roadmap for our internal applications and mobile app.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise technical leadership for high-impact projects in the Disputes Engineering team
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in UX development, ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience across all our applications
  • Implement product features and provide support or work with backend engineers to define and integrate platform APIs
  • Mentor, document, and share knowledge as part of your immediate team as well as through Chime Engineering as a whole
  • Foster collaboration across engineering teams to create reusable, scalable solutions, contributing to architecture blueprints that benefit the entire organization
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge and ability to navigate all aspects of front-end development, with 8+ years of active web and/or mobile development experience with React, React Native, and Typescript
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as a top-level individual contributor in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers
  • Work across the stack (React Native, Native iOS/Android, GraphQL API, CI/Build systems) Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling and web front-end technologies and frameworks
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale
  • Desire to drive engineering culture within your immediate team, as well as within the larger organization
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with cross-functional partners to define requirements, manage scope, and execute on software projects
