Advanced Gastroenterology Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Gastroenterology Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Allied Digestive Health. This role plays a vital part in managing patient communications, coordinating care with physicians, and ensuring the highest quality of treatment for patients.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with physicians, NP's, and PA's to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Directly report to the nursing coordinator, working together to achieve outstanding results.
- Handle all incoming sick patient phone calls for assigned providers, providing timely and empathetic support.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, including office visits, referrals, imaging studies, and lab work.
- Prioritize authorization requests for medications, imaging studies, and labs, ensuring seamless communication.
- Notify patients of test results through secure portal messaging, emails, or phone calls, maintaining transparency and respect.
- Respond promptly to patient portal messages, addressing concerns and providing reassurance.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures, act on orders, and ensure pathology reports are received in a timely manner.
- Review charts and schedule appointments as necessary, securing provider authorization for prescription refills.
- High school graduate or equivalent with a strong educational background.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of NY.
- BCLS/ACLS certification is preferred, but not required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting, showcasing adaptability and expertise.
- A competitive base salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
