Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and completing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and with compassion. Your duties will include selecting proper technical factors, preparing and positioning patients, and documenting all pertinent clinical information.

Responsibilities
  • Select proper technical factors for study and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately and with compassion.
  • Prepare and position patients for exams, ensuring modesty and safety.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exams and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Obtain high-quality CT images and submit only optimal images for interpretation.
  • Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues.
  • Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited, AMA-approved institution.
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health license (CRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology; acute-care hospital setting preferred.
