Job Summary

Utility Reserves provide entry-level production support for all areas of the Jesup plant, including machines, finishing/warehouse, pulp mill, stores, utilities, and more. Employees work in various indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the plant, adhering to all safety regulations and wearing personal protective equipment. Responsibilities can be repetitive, including standard housekeeping, operating equipment, monitoring chemical processes, and inspecting products for customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Standard housekeeping and equipment operation
  • Monitoring chemical processes and power and recovery boilers
  • Assembly line work and product inspection for customer satisfaction

Working Conditions

Employees are exposed to industrial machinery, moving parts, elevated temperatures, and other physical demands. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including hard hats, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, and safety shoes. Employees must be able to safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule

Hourly operations positions work a 12-hour rotating swing shift schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years in an industrial/manufacturing environment
