Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble fiberglass hulls, decks, and various components.
  • Install hardware elements, including bilge systems, water, hydraulic, and fuel fittings, hoses, tanks, and connections.
  • Conduct electrical assembly of consoles, connecting electrical wiring and components.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power/air tools, saws, grinders, and other necessary equipment.
  • Adhere to specific job instructions, regularly communicating the status of part completion.

This role may involve the handling and application of sealants, adhesives, and primers, along with proper disposal practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot conditions.
  • Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include gloves, safety glasses, aprons, chemical-resistant suits, and safety shoes.
  • Capable of moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to work 10-hour shifts involving standing, bending, climbing, and reaching.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
  • No allergies to fiberglass or chemicals used in this process.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficient in using basic hand, power, and air tools relevant to the role.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Adherence to safety standards and procedures, including chemical handling and PPE usage.
  • Dependable and punctual attendance.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Previous experience in the marine industry is advantageous.
