Job Title: School Psychologist

Are you a licensed school psychologist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team in Rhode Island.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled school psychologist to provide comprehensive services to support the academic, social-emotional, and mental health needs of students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data to identify student strengths and needs, developing effective services and programs, and collaborating with colleagues, students, families, and professionals to ensure effective service implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Data-Based Decision Making & Accountability: Analyze various data to identify student strengths and needs to develop effective services and programs.
  2. Consultation & Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, students, families, and professionals to ensure effective service implementation.
  3. Academic Support: Provide guidance on biological, cultural, and social factors affecting learning and offer evidence-based strategies.
  4. Social & Mental Health Support: Conduct individual and group counseling, using evidence-based strategies to promote social-emotional growth.
  5. School-Wide Practices: Promote learning and mental health through systems such as RTI (Response to Intervention) and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports).
  6. Crisis Prevention & Response: Implement strategies for multi-tiered prevention and crisis response.
  7. Family Collaboration: Work closely with families to support students' learning and mental health, offering outside resources when needed.
  8. Diversity & Inclusion: Address influences related to diversity, individual differences, and disabilities to ensure equitable services.
  9. Research & Program Evaluation: Interpret and apply research data to improve programs and student outcomes.
  10. Legal & Ethical Practice: Ensure services align with ethical, legal, and professional standards.
  11. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or PPS Director.
Qualifications:
  • Must be licensed as a School Psychologist in Rhode Island.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, collaboration, crisis management, and academic/social-emotional interventions.
