Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef Manager to join our team at Rush Court, a nursing and residential home catering to the needs of our residents. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services to our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen production, ensuring food is prepared to agreed standards, within budgetary constraints, and in compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate the provision of special diets and themed events, ensuring a varied and interesting menu for our residents.
  • Lead a team of chefs and food service assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Develop and implement menu plans, ensuring nutritional balance and culinary excellence.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Qualified Chef with experience in a quality hotel or care home environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a passion for food and a commitment to quality service delivery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a keen sense of urgency and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Double COVID-19 vaccinated, in line with current government legislation for care homes.
