Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role within the Nursing Department, holding both responsibility and accountability for delivering exceptional nursing care. This position involves managing care for patients and their families through the application of the nursing process, utilizing independent judgment, collaboration, and effective communication with all team members, including ancillary and support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments.
- Utilize established clinical pathways to guide the care delivery team under the supervision of the RN.
- Delegate patient care activities according to patient needs and team competencies.
- Evaluate patient responses to treatments and nursing interventions, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Completion of accredited nursing school coursework is essential.
- Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) are mandatory.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
- CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse) certification is preferred.
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification is a plus.
