Job Summary

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of technology change in the financial industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on Agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life cycle of activities to implement technology change
  • Lead large complex consumer card initiative projects
  • Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions
  • Coordinate with multiple application teams, testers, system architects, and line of business partners
  • Communicate the solution intent and operating environment
  • Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and use
  • Clarify the solution architecture for development teams
  • Drive defect resolution and project scoping/estimates
  • Educate team members on technology practices and standardization strategies
  • Produce detailed project plans and frequent project status updates
  • Manage risk and ensure appropriate risk escalations

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to orchestrate and drive multiple project teams/work streams
  • 10+ years in technology industry
  • 5 years related project management experience
  • Assertive individual with ability to execute with limited direction
  • Ability to identify and engage key stakeholders to facilitate and drive progress and resolution
  • Excel in time management and simultaneously manage multiple yet unrelated events
  • Capability to distill complex information from various sources to formulate a strategic plan of execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including senior management
  • Team player who is comfortable leading cross-functional teams inclusive of business, operations, and technology
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure

Desired Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, advanced skills with Excel and MS Project
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Possess intellectual curiosity
  • Tenacious extrovert
  • Experience with credit card technology
