ROLE SUMMARY
This is a full-time role at Kranz & Associates, where you will deliver fractional and interim CFO consulting services to our diverse clientele. Reporting directly to the leader of the Emerging Growth Practice, this position requires a highly experienced professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and proven leadership capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients during consulting engagements.
  • Achieve a utilization target of 65-70% billable hours while engaging in business development initiatives.
CFO DUTIES:
  • Oversee client financial operations, including accounting, finance, treasury, and systems management.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while attending client meetings to tailor solutions to their needs.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Ensure quality assurance for all internal deliverables prior to client presentation.
  • Collaborate with specialized resources as necessary (tax, legal, benefits, etc.).
ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS
  • Lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial closing and compliance.
  • Develop and communicate policies to ensure adherence to GAAP and facilitate a transition to full GAAP.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, including reconciliations and disclosures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting policies, financial systems, and internal controls.
  • Review complex journal entries and conduct monthly analytical reviews of financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and timely billing processes.
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Present financial information to stakeholders and resolve complex accounting issues.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
  • Provide analytical support and strategic guidance to the leadership team.
  • Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial performance and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Develop key performance metrics and dashboards to drive business improvements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
  • Ensure timely reporting of financial information to executive management and the Board.
  • Support fundraising and strategic transactions as necessary.
TREASURY MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee cash management and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place.
  • Manage relationships with banking institutions.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Integrate client accounting systems with other business applications.
  • Drive business development efforts and architect solutions for prospective clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience in consulting and large accounting firms is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years in accounting and finance, with 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite, along with complex accounting systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
