About the Position

The University of Minnesota is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Associate to work with faculty members and their research groups in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in various fields, including geochemistry, paleomagnetism, Quaternary sciences, sedimentology, petrology, hydrogeology, geomicrobiology, structural geology, geophysics, rock physics, and rheology.

With a Ph.D. in Earth, environmental, or related sciences, you will join a vibrant interdisciplinary department with faculty research ranging from paleoclimate to deep earth dynamics. You will have the chance to collaborate with experienced researchers and contribute to groundbreaking projects that advance our understanding of the Earth's systems.

This position is limited to three years, with possible extension up to five years depending on training needs. You will have opportunities to develop your career skills, learn new research techniques, and supervise research assistants and laboratory personnel.
